At Duncan’s Pack, we want members to make thoughtful, careful decisions. These Safety Tips are general suggestions only. They are not guarantees, and they do not replace your own judgment.

1. Basic Safety Reminders

  • Take your time getting to know someone.
  • Be cautious with anyone who seems to move too fast.
  • Do not send money, gifts, crypto, or financial information to people you meet online.
  • Be careful about sharing your home address, workplace, daily routine, or other sensitive personal details too soon.
  • Reverse-image-search profile photos if something feels off.
  • Watch for inconsistent stories, urgency, pressure, or requests for secrecy.

2. Before Meeting in Person

  • Meet in a public place.
  • Tell a trusted friend or family member where you are going.
  • Arrange your own transportation.
  • Keep your phone charged.
  • Consider a video call before meeting.
  • Do not feel pressured to bring your dog to a first meeting.

3. If Dogs Will Be Involved

  • Choose a neutral, safe environment.
  • Confirm vaccination and temperament information where appropriate.
  • Keep dogs leashed unless clearly safe not to.
  • Avoid forcing introductions.
  • Leave immediately if the situation feels unsafe for you or your dog.

4. Watch for Red Flags

  • Someone asks for money.
  • Someone avoids video calls but pushes for in-person meetings.
  • Someone becomes possessive, manipulative, or angry quickly.
  • Someone pressures you to share private information.
  • Someone refuses to respect boundaries.
  • You get a bad gut feeling.

5. Emergencies

If you are in immediate danger or believe a crime has occurred, contact 911 or local law enforcement right away.

If you believe a member violated our rules, you may also report them to Duncan’s Pack at contact@duncanspack.com.

6. Important Reminder

Your online and offline interactions are solely your responsibility. Duncan’s Pack does not verify every user, does not guarantee member identity or intent, and is not responsible for the conduct of members or third parties.
